Mabru Rodrigues is a Brazilian photographer and visual artist. As a self-taught photographer, she seeks through her projects to dialogue about the importance of diversity of bodies, creating a visual image where people feel represented. Your pictures are loaded with symbolism, minimalism, and poetry, which are part of the identity of her work, allied with a palette of colors in subtle tones, which contribute to enhancing photography and give representativeness of her art. Creator of the United Bodies project, Mabru works on the technique she learned at the Theater, called contact improvisation created by Steve Paxton, who explores improvised movements, where a body connects to the another, creating a link, a connection through touch, feeling, showing their vulnerabilities. It captures the natural beauty of each one with the goal of empowering other women to feel free of the standards imposed on our bodies.

In 2018, it was classified for the contest A New Renaissance at the PhotoVogue festival in Milan.
In 2019, she was selected to participate in the first Bienal Black Brazil Art - with the theme Invisible Women, in the city of Florianópolis/Brazil.
In 2020 she won bronze at the Tokyo International Photo Awards, Tifa festival, in the fine art and self-portrait category.
In 2021, she was selected to participate in the Art Lab Foto Gallery in São Paulo/Brazil.     
In 2022, she was selected for a group exhibition in Lisbon Curated by Girls "A nova Feminilidade".

Mabru Rodrigues had her works published by magazines such as Afrostyle Magazine, Afropunk, Curated By Girls, Ocean Africa, Iconic Artist, and Vogue Italia.
Currently lives in the city of Rio de Janeiro/Brazil.
